Corporate Social Responsibility
At Kaloti Precious Metals, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is something we take very seriously. It helps to shape who we are and drive us forward too.
We have a system in place to ensure that our day-to-day operations are conducted in a responsible and sustainable manner. We also invite external auditors to monitor and measure our CSR performance.
As a result, we are helping to reshape gold refining in Suriname. Partnering with the government there, we set up the country’s first gold refinery and mint house.
In particular, we focus on
Responsible Sourcing: Adopting OECD guidelines, we insist on our supply chain partners and stakeholders to follow responsible sourcing best practices.
Conservation Efforts: We are constantly striving to reduce our carbon footprint. In Sharja, for instances, our refinery is ISO 14001:2004 certified in waste management.
Community Activities: We sponsor various charities and help local refugee organizations. We also offer university scholarships and grants.
Child Labour: We do not tolerate the use of child labor or forced labor to mine gold. Nor do we accept gold from suppliers or mines that use child labor or forced labor whatsoever.
